Here’s a list of words:
vehicle
as
life
into
wisdom
the
one
ironically
in
ages
accelerates
seat
the
of
rear

Here’s a sentence constructed entirely from that list of words:

‘Ironically, wisdom accelerates as one ages into the rear seat of the vehicle of life.’

Rosalie Ham wrote that sentence in an article ‘Every step of the way’ published in the Weekend Australian Magazine 19 October 2024. It’s a powerful and moving article, and as a writer I like that sentence, yet that matters not for this week’s ‘dream’.

‘And the words slide into their slots, ordained by syntax, and glitter as with atmospheric dust with those impurities which we call meaning.’ Anthony Burgess (1968). ‘Before the words slide into their slots, they are just discrete items, pointing everywhere and nowhere.’ Fish (2011).
