Life and hope
Life gets easier and easier
as the time goes by -
there is so much less of it.
As long as you are able
to cross an empty street
against the lights -
there is still hope.
Two aphorisms this week from Finnish literary critic, author and historian Markku Envall (1944 - .
Side Notes:
For Envall ‘the most evil of all spirits are those economic, political and social forces that suppress individuality’. ‘If the threat was a small one - no government would bother.’
If the ‘aphorism’ has caught your attention these past three weeks here’s a link to take you to a deeper read on this ‘form’ of a tiny literary gem - https://shorturl.at/th6xv
I’ll be back in some other form next week.
Dream intentionally - while you’re awake
