Boredom
In my experience
boredom is often close to epiphany;
to the great idea.
Boredom is just boredom
until it’s not.
But perhaps boredom
is the wrong word here.
For me
it’s more a kind of distraction -
a sort of letting go.
Or,
the willingness
to relinquish control of an idea
that you thought was important.
I find I can only get to that place
through improvisation,
and of course collaboration.
A friend and former colleague sent me a message a few days ago. The message referred to a recent Nick Cave podcast. I replied to the message and mentioned I have a copy of Cave’s book - Faith, Hope and Carnage. I FOUND the piece above in Faith, Hope and Carnage.
Dream Intentionally - while you’re awake.
